Description
Small toe of very small jug or unguentarium. Base has slightly flaring profile, underside with concentric groove that creates slight button.
Fabric, firing, surface
Reddish yellow, consistently fired. Very fine, hard; mostly smooth to vaguely conchoidal break, with smooth surface; rare, small, angular, white (calcareous bits). Regional cf. reddish Early-Middle Corinthian lamp fabric?
Preservation description
One sherd preserves entire base and small part of lowermost wall. Slight, sparse abrasion and scratching, and large chips; worn breaks; very faint clouds of discoloration.
