Description
Cooking dish. Rim horizontal to slightly flaring with concave upper face; interior edge has slight ridge for sitting lid. Transition from rim to body marked by slight groove.
Fabric, firing, surface
Red, consistently fired. Coarse fabric, granular break with rough texture; abundant varied sandy inclusions. Unslipped.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 10% of rim, but missing much of lip, with adjacent upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion; worn breaks; somewhat thick, extensive film of encrustation especially on exterior.
