Fabric, firing, surface
Pale brownish orange fired slight redder at surfaces (2-3 mm). Hard, slightly coarse; smooth break with slightly sandy surface texture. Common well sorted, tiny, black and red, rarely white bits; very rare, elongated, vegetal voids. Lower Egyptian. Faint patches of white film: not slip; byproduct of drying before firing? Egyptian: southwest of Delta.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 16% of rim and small part of shoulder. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion; worn breaks; no encrustation.
