Explanation of deposition
Accumulation of numerous large sherds in small depression along lower slope against back (west) face of Wall A1, opposite north–south passageway (see Deposit A4). Dumped and/or collected here from upslope to west and/or from east over wall A1. May represent debris from funerary ritual upslope to west and/or debris from passing traffic in passageway and/or debris from occupation of complex on southeast ridge (Buildings B2-B4).

Along upper/west face of Wall A1.
Soil matrix
Pale to very pale brown (10YR 6/3, 7/3, 7/4), somewhat loose to somewhat compact, medium-fine silty sand to sandy silt with many pebbles to cobbles (1-8 cm range) decreasing in size to southeast, occasional calcareous chunks (broken from caliche on slope?); pockets of gravel, dark brown soil in northwest.
