Popular and long-lived form of wheelmade lamp from Attica. Raised, slightly concave base with thick, convex floor; high curved to rounded or globular sides with groove at edge of rim; relatively small filling hole; elongated, narrow nozzle, flat on top with small wichhole; sometimes a thick horizontal strap handle or a pierced lug on left side. Several variants (A, A′, B, B′, C′, D′). Thick, even black glaze inside and outside but base often reserved.
