Large dish with plain, slight hollowed base set off by inset or tiny ring foot, grooved floor, slightly rounded wall, and flat, horizontal to hanging rim base, with grooving on upper face. Subtypes (A, B) vary slightly by material and design. Common Middle-Late Roman ARS form.
Chronology comment
Both subtypes fall within the date range but one variant with flat base and ungrooved rim (Hayes Form 32/58) dates to ca. 260-340.
