Description
Wide, almond-shaped outline. Oval, slightly concave discus has Greek cross flaring arms and raised outline in low relief crowded inside low raised rim, large central filling hole, small airhole below, and wide and flaring channel to wickhole. Shoulder has inward sloping groove with palm branch in relief. Short, rounded nozzle.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/6 (light red). Late Corinthian red lamp fabric but hard, dense, somewhat gritty.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves small part of discus, ca. 25% of shoulder, and entire nozzle. Slight, sparse abrasion; moderately worn breaks; slight, extensive encrustation.
