Description
Oval to tear-shaped outline. Circular, concave discus has central filling hole with wide rim, rosette with 21(?) curving petals, two small holes above and below right, and narrow, irregular, rounded rim. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in high relief.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/2, light reddish brown. Slip: 10R 5/4, weak red. Thin, even, dull slip preserved in patches.
Preservation comment
Two joining fragments preserve 33% of discus and small part of shoulder. Slight encrustation.
