Description
Tear-shaped outline. Circular, concave discus has central filling hole with framing ring, rosette with 11 concave petals, raised rim, and rounded framing ring. Slightly sloping shoulder with rounded rim is plain with two double circles in low relief just below the lateral axis. Rounded nozzle flanked by single grooves has airhole at top and single circles along discus rim; traces of burning.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Slip: 10R 5/8, red. Thin, even, dull slip preserved in small patches on discus.
Preservation comment
Two joining fragments preserve whole discus and roughly one-half of shoulder. Thick encrustation.
