Description
Circular, concave discus with uncertain design involving double groundline. Plain shoulder with rounded rim. Rounded to slightly pointed nozzle with volutes.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric (interior): 2.5YR 5/2, weak red; (exterior): 2.5 YR 6/8, light red. Slip: 2.5 YR 5/8, red. Hard, fine fabric with uncommon, well sorted, small, subrounded to angular, white, red, and gold to brown inclusions. Thin, even, semilustrous slip preserved only in small patches. Knidian.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves 25% of nozzle and small parts of shoulder and discus. Moderate abrasion; very slight encrustation.
