Description
Almond-shaped body. Circular or oval, concave, plain discus with raised rim has small hole upper right and two small circles at corners of handle. Steeply sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Thick, solid handle has two grooves.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 5YR 7/6, reddish yellow but inconsistently fired. Hard, thick, somewhat gritty fabric. Unglazed.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves upper handle and <25% of shoulder and discus. Moderate abrasion, erosion; worn breaks and marginal chipping; traces of thin encrustation.
