Description
Tear-shaped(?) body. Circular to oval, shallow discus has central filling hole with raised rim, rosette with 12 concave, rounded petals, and wide, rounded rim with small dots between leaves. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief and flat outer rim with beveled edge.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 5/6, yellowish red. Slip: 10R 4/4, weak red. Thin, even, semilustrous slip preserved in patches. Sparse, large clay nodules.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves 33% of discus and <25% of shoulder. Slight traces of encrustation.
