Description
Tear-shaped outline. Circular, concave, plain discus has central filling hole with raised rim, four smaller holes around, two small double circles at base of handle, and raised rim. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Slight webbing between shoulder and handle. Thick, partly pierced handle with three grooves above.
Fabric, firing, surface
10R 6/8, light red. Soft, crumbly, gritty to sandy fabric with cracked surface and hackly break, almost cooking ware: mixed inclusions. Unglazed. Attic.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves 66% of discus, rim, and handle. Heavy erosion, with flaking and chipping..
