Description
Flat base has single circle at top and double circular or almond-shaped grooves around incuse signature: ΧΙ[Ο]|ΝḤ[Ϲ] (crisp letters with rounded serifs).
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 7.5YR 7/4, pink. Slip: 5YR 6/3, light reddish brown. Slight, dull slip as wash preserved across surface but worn.
Preservation description
One small fragment preserves ca. 25% of base. Slight, sparse abrasion, scoring, and chipping; worn breaks; traces of encrustation.
