Description
Circular discus has rosette with four heart-shaped, concave petals in uneven arrangement, central filling hole, and framing ring. Plain, sloping to rounded shoulder. Large, rounded nozzle set off from shoulder by horizontal groove.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 7/8, reddish yellow. Slip: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Somewhat hard, gritty, porous fabric with frequent, small to medium, subrounded, white inclusions. Thin, even, dull slip preserved only in sparse patches.
Preservation description
Six large joining fragments preserve 75% of top. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and pitting; worn breaks; rare specks of encrustation.
