Description
Circular, slightly concave, plain(?) discus with airhole at bottom has raised rim and framing ring. Narrow, rounded shoulder has large ovules. Long, rounded nozzle has narrow oval rim around wickhole; traces of burning.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 5/6, red, to 10R 4/3, weak red. Hard, medium fine clay with gritty texture; frequent, small, subrounded, white inclusions. Thin, dull slip, flaky, varies in color with splotchiness; cf. KL165 and KL169. Corinthian but relatively unrefined.
Preservation description
Two large joining fragments preserve entire nozzle and small parts of shoulder and discus. Slight, extensive abrasion with rare pitting; worn breaks; spare, thin patches of encrustation.
