Description
Circular discus has rosette with eight large, concave, rounded petals in uneven arrangement and framing groove. Plain, sloping shoulder. This type lacks a handle and has a rounded nozzle.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 6/4, light reddish brown. Slip: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Hard, medium fine fabric with common, small, rounded to subrounded, white inclusions; rare voids. Thin, even, semilustrous slip. Knidian.
Preservation comment
Three small joining fragments preserve roughly one-half of discus and small part of shoulder. Extensive pitting; sparse encrustation.
