Description
Flat discus has figure in low relief of large male face forward with hair pulled back in thick strands and rays projecting from head, faint details of eyes, brows, nose, and lips, all surrounded by four small holes. Details of anatomy are finely modeled. This type has nine rays over head.
Fabric, firing, surface
5YR 5/8, yellowish red. Late Corinthian red fabric but slightly gritty.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves middle of discus. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and chipping; scattered specks of encrustation.
