Description
Circular to tear-shaped outline. Circular, concave discus has rosette with 14 concave, rounded petals, two small holes left and right, and wide, rounded rim with single dots between petal tips. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in relief. Tall, narrow, pierced handle has two grooves; lower handle has flanking grooves.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 7.5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 4/4, weak red. Thin, uneven, dull slip preserved in patches. Numerous large clay nodules.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves <25% of discus and shoulder and the upper handle. Extensive encrustation.
