Description
Tear-shaped body. Circular, slightly concave discus has central filling hole with rim and rosette with 22(?) straight or curving petals. Sloping shoulder has wavy lines ending at three transverse lines. Rounded nozzle framed by single angled grooves has airhole at top and short, narrow channel to wickhole.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. Fabric: 5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 6/6, light red. Slight, dull slip as wash preserved in small patches around nozzle and rim.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves 33% of discus and right shoulder and small part of nozzle. Heavy, extensive abrasion and slight, sparse pitting; worn breaks; wide patches of encrustation.
