Description
Circular outline. Circular, concave, plain discus with raised rim has central filling hole with wide rim. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Nozzle framed by single angled grooves has airhole off-center at top. Solid handle has two grooves; lower handle has flanking grooves and two single circles at base. Flat base has triple circular grooves.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 10R 5/8, red. Slip: 10R 4/3, weak red. Thick, even, lustrous slip is streaky in places.
Preservation comment
Three fragments, two joining, preserve discus, roughly 50% of shoulder, and part of nozzle. Thick, sandy encrustation or mortar.
