Description
Circular, slightly concave discus has rosette with four heart-shaped, concave petals and thin framing ring. Flat shoulder has relief of wreath of acorns and oak leaves tied at top. No handle. This type has a rounded nozzle.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 10R 4/1, dark reddish gray. Slip: 5YR 4/3, reddish brown. Somewhat hard, gritty, porous fabric with frequent, small, subrounded to angular, white and rare black inclusions. Thin, full slip, flaky. Knidian.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves 25% of shoulder and small part of discus. Extensive, moderate abrasion and pitting; thick encrustation. Secondary scorching.
