Description
Almond-shaped outline. Shallow, tear-shaped discus has filling hole right, row of single raised circles, raised rim with retouched(?) outline, and short, narrow channel to wickhole. Steeply sloping shoulder has irregular herringbone in low relief that extends up to wickhole without termination. Prominent joining ridge with distinct ledge near handle and thin shelf of folded, torn excess clay farther up rim. Rounded(?) nozzle; traces of burning.
Fabric, firing, surface
5YR 6/6, reddish yellow to slightly browner surface. Hard, dense, medium-fine fabric with frequent, very small, rounded to subrounded, white inclusions and very rare, spherical voids. Unglazed.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves 33% of shoulder and small part of discus. Sparse pitting and flaking; traces of encrustation.
