Description
Tear-shaped outline. Tear-shaped, plain discus has small hole upper right, two double circles at base of handle, raised rim and rounded framing ring. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in relief. Thick, pierced handle has two grooves.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. Fabric: 2.5YR 7/6, light red. Slip: 2.5YR 5/8, red. Very slight, even, dull slip preserved in grooves.
Preservation description
One small fragment preserves 25% of discus, small part of shoulder, and upper handle. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion with rare scoring; worn breaks; small patches of encrustation.
