Small handled amphora stopper
Description
Circular stopper, solid, with projecting conical knob; vertical edge for sealing mouth of vessel. Underside uneven.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
2.5YR 7/7, light red. Somewhat soft, gritty fabric with common, small to large, subrounded to angular, white, red, and gray inclusions; slight spalling.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves >75% of object but missing part of knob terminus. Slight chipping; very slight, extensive encrustation.
