Description
Plain band on exterior center marking seam between molded halves. On either side is molded decoration of dense, curly fleece. Curvature and seam indicate location of sherd around ram’s rump, below the back attachment of handle.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/4, light reddish brown. Slip: 5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Somewhat hard, fine fabric with rare, small, subangular, white, pink, and black inclusions. Somewhat thick, even, metallic, semilustrous slip preserved in large patches.
Preservation description
One fragment preserves small part of upper body. Slight abrasion; clean breaks.
