Surviving form points to Conspectus Form 26 with rather low carination.
Description
Carinated cup. Low ring foot. Conical lower wall up to carination; wall above carination is vertical. Interior marked by groove at mid-floor. On floor is rectangular stamp with horizontal dividing line: C(aius) PACI-|DEI[VS]. OCK 1366.2: C. Pacideius of central Italy?, 1+ CE. Central to northern Italian product?
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Slip: 10R 5/8, red. Material typical for ware.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves <25% of base and lower wall, including 50% of stamp. Slight gouging and chipping.
