Description
Brazier. Vertical to slightly convex wall with rounded, thickened front edge and wide, irregular joint on bottom where wall of fire-shield was luted to flat pan. Diagonal or wavy grooves traced by finger on exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
5YR 6/6, yellowish red. Hard, medium-coarse fabric with rare mica, abundant, moderately sorted, subangular, white inclusions, and common, small, gray and red inclusions.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves most of lower front right corner broken at joint with pan and small part of wall. Slight abrasion on bottom; slight, sparse encrustation.
