Description
Horizontal rim, indented on top face. Slip on interior, top of rim, and exterior just below rim. Slight scorching on lower wall from use.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5YR 5/4, reddish brown. Slip: 2.5YR 4/6, red. Hard, gritty fabric with few mica, very few, rounded, black matte inclusions, few red inclusions, and very rare lime reaction rings. Thick, even, dull slip. Imported.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves part of upper body and <25% of rim. Slight, sparse encrustation.
