Description
Basin. Convex upper body curves inward just below horizontal rim, slightly over-hanging, with rounded lip. Horizontal handle, circular in section, attaches to underside of rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
7.5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Hard, smooth, fine fabric with very rare golden micaceous flecks and very rare, very small, rounded, white (calcareous) inclusions. Corinthian buff utilitarian fabric.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves <25% of rim and ca. 50% of one handle. Extensive chipping and abrasion where surface is visible; heavy marine encrustation on interior and plaster residue on rim and exterior, coating handle.
