Description
Bowl. Short and small, flaring, false ring foot with exterior bevel. Flaring, upturned wall with groove around lower body. Vertical rim with rounded lip. No grooving on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 5/8, yellowish red. Slip: 2.5YR 5/8, red. Material typical for early ware.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves small part of base and ca. 25% of body and rim, including full profile. Thin patches of encrustation.
