Description
False ring foot, uneven beveling. Globular body. Offset, tapering neck. Offset bell rim. Oval handle attaches to shoulder and neck, slightly indented at lower attachment. Four bands of three to five grooves, one on the upper body, one just below the articulation of the body and neck, one at middle neck, and one at middle rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
7.5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Somewhat hard, smooth, fine fabric with frequent, large, poorly sorted, subangular to subrounded, white inclusions (lime). Trimming marks on lower part.
Preservation comment
Intact. Slight chipping on rim and lower body; very slight, extensive patch of encrustation. Clouds of black speckling.
