Seven painted bands, from bottom to top: two black, three red, two black. Slightly asymmetrical, tilted to one side.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric (interior): 2.5YR 6/6, light red; (exterior): 10YR 7/3, very pale brown. Painted decoration: 2.5YR 4/4, reddish brown, to 2.5YR 5/6, red. Somewhat hard, fine fabric with rare mica, common, small to very small, white, brown and gray inclusions (cf. KP1990-030). Thin, uneven, dull, flaky paint.
Preservation comment
28 large joining fragments (313+321) and seven nonjoining fragments preserve almost complete base and lower body and roughly two thirds of upper body and rim. Slight erosion, severe abrasion, sparse gouging and chipping; thick, extensive encrustation. Paint survives only in very faint traces.
