Description
Hemispherical bowl. Ring foot, relatively thin; slightly flaring, with small button on underside. Thickened lip with flat upper face. Horizontal scratches across exterior surface from turning.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 7/3, pink. Slip: 10R 4/8, dark red. Hard, fine, slightly micaceous fabric. Thin but firm, even, semilustrous slip.
Preservation comment
Five joining sherds (314+316) preserve entire base, ca. 40% of body, and 25% of rim. Slight pitting and chipping; heavy, extensive mortar accretion on interior and exterior of base, moderate on body.
