Description
Low bowl. Keel rim with rounded, outward-thickened, notched lip. Spiral motif painted on outer face. Horizontal ribbon handle.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric (interior): Gley 1 4/N, dark gray; (exterior): 10R 5/1, reddish gray. Slip: 10R 4/2, weak red. Somewhat soft, gritty fabric with uncommon, spherical, small white and tan inclusions. Very thin, even, dull slip. Thin but firm, dull, grayish white paint.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves less than one-quarter of rim (but missing keel) and small part of one handle. Moderate patch of encrustation on exterior.
