Description
Round bottom. Sharp carination to nearly vertical wall. Slightly flaring rim with tapering lip, almost pointed; small, triangular flange on interior. Two deep grooves below rim on exterior. Scorching on bottom and upper outside wall from use.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
2.5YR 4/6, red. Hard, medium coarse fabric, sandy, with frequent golden mica and common to frequent, small, rounded, white (calcareous) and brown inclusions; granular to slightly hackly break. Imported?
Preservation comment
Two joining fragments preserve <25% of middle to upper body and rim. Slight chipping along breaks; slight, sparse encrustation.
