Description
Low sloping shoulders. Cylindrical neck; vertical rim with tapered lip. Bowed handles, oval in section and slightly indented at base, attach to shoulder and lower neck.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 7/8, light red; (exterior surface): 5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Hard, fine fabric with common to few, poorly sorted, rouned to subangular, white and gray inclusions. Probably Corinthian.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves most of one shoulder, entire neck and rim, and one entire handle. Three nonjoining fragments preserve opposite lower handle attachment and small part of handle. Extensive chipping on rim and breaks, large crack at handle attachment. Black speckling.
