Description
Thin, even, dull slip is worn. Vertical body, corrugated. Broad, flaring rim. Slip on interior and over top to outer face of rim.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 7.5YR 8/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 2.5YR 6/6, light red, to 5YR 6/8, reddish yellow. Somewhat soft, somewhat smooth, gritty fabric with uncommon to frequent golden mica, common to few small, white (calcareous) inclusions and very small gray inclusions (stoney flecks); frequent small, elongated voids. Thin, mostly even, matte slip. Regional.
Preservation comment
Three large, nonjoining fragments (a–c) preserve small part of upper body and ca. 50% of rim. Slight erosion and moderate chipping. Black speckling and large patches of brown discoloration.
