Description
Plate with heavy ring foot, grooved on resting surface. Central floor has planta pedis stamp: left foot with circular motif at heel end bars across arch of foot and before toes, well-formed toes with big toe distinctly larger.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very well-smoothed, plain, brownish surface that is found on esp. early Pontic Sigillata.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves nearly intact base and small part of adjacent wall. Extensive, slight to moderate abrasion, scratching; and chipping; worn breaks. except for chips; small parts of floor beyond base. Scattered specks to small patches of encrustation.
