Amphora with tall, vertical neck; slightly outturned, tapered lip. Graffito in deep strokes, inscribed after firing, on upper neck just under lip: XXX.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Reddish orange fabric, consistently fired. Fine, hard; granular break and gritty surface texture. Rare, tiny, well sorted, black and red bits, rarely white.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves ca. 5% of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight, extensive abrasion; worn breaks; faint white film over surfaces.
