Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light pinkish brown fired to pale brown (“hazelnut“) near the surfaces (2-5 mm). Medium hard, medium fine, with smooth break and slightly powdery surface texture. Rare, small, tabular and spherical, white (calcareious) inclusions; very rare to rare, tiny to small, subrounded, gray to black inclusions. Thin, even slip, pale buff (lighter than fired surface), flaking extensively. Fine brushmarks from smoothing around neck.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 60% of rim with most of neck and part of shoulder, with one upper handle. Slight, faint abrasion with flaking and chipping around edge; somewhat worn breaks.
