Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: pale red; fine, slightly soft; slightly granular break; well sorted, rare, very small, subrounded, mixed white, black, brown-red inclusions); firing (consistent); and surface treatment (black slip inside and outside; somewwhat thick, even but flakey, semilustrous).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 40% of left part of lamps, including shoulder and adjacent wall and small part of discus but no nozzle or base. Extensive, slight to moderate abrasion and scattered pitting and chipping; worn breaks; faint, thin, patchy cloud of grayish discoloration (calcareous?).
