Brick red, fired slightly more orange at very surfaces. Hard, very coarse; granular to vaguely platy break, with rough surface texture. Abundant, small to medium, varied white chunks (limestone) and other pale bits (some quartzitic?). Thin patches of white saline wash. Tripolitanian.
