Chiefly an Early to Middle Roman amphora form has a large, long, cylndrical body with a spike toe, a short neck with a widened to drooping or stepped rim, and small loop handles at the neck or shoulder. Classified in earlier and later subtypes 1, 2, and 3 with different rims. Made in southeastern Tunisia to western Libya during the 1st-4th centuries.
