Subtype distinguised by a relative short neck with a heavy, thickened stepped rim and loop handles attached at or below the shoulder. Made in southeastern Tunisia to western Libya during the 2nd-early 3rd century, though some examples from north Africa date somewhat earlier and well into the 4th century.
