- Description
- Jug. Flat bottom with low ring base. Wide flaring lower wall up to wide ovoid body, tapering to cylindrical, slightly flaring neck.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- 5YR 8/3 (pink). Fine fabric with two medium-sized, angular, black inclusions; scattered medium, angular voids. Unslipped.
- Preservation comment
- Two nonjoining fragments, one preserves ca. 30% of lower body to neck (a) and entire base and small part of lower wall (b). The inventory log from 1968 indicates that these large fragments were attached upon discovery but they have separated and the lower portion of the body has disintegrated in storage. Severe erosion everywhere on both fragments. From marine context: reddish brown fabric disintegrating, all edges blunted.
