Gray fabric with redder patches across surface from inconsistent firing. Coarse, very hard; numerous craters across surface (overfiring?). At surface are visible small, varied, poorly sorted, inclusions: white, red, orange (terracotta?), black to gray; uncommon to common, irregular voids; one long, thin cavity on underside from thread or stem at surface of clay.
Preservation comment
Intact. Slight to moderate, extensive pitting, gouging and erosion consistent with marine submersion over long term; granular encrustation in pockmarks.
