1960s: mended with natural shellac and joint covered with white plaster.
Fabric, firing, surface
Hard to characterize material properties because of weathering. Reddish yellow. Fine fabric with smooth break. Uncommon, well sorted, tiny white bits (calcareous?); rare, small to medium, limestone chunks, many spalling; very rare, tiny dark bits; faint golden micaceous flecks. Consistent with Northeastern Peloponnesian fabrics cf. southern Argolid.
Preservation description
Four joining fragments preserve ca. 60% of body with complete neck and both handle but missing bottom and rim. Extensive, severe abrasion and erosion with frequent gouging and pitting; brittle overall condition; worn breaks; extensive patches of gray discoloration. Weathering consistent with prolonged marine submersion.
