Description
Deep cookpot with everted rim and strap handles (one extant). The extant upper wall is quite straight with no extant turn to rounded base. Upper face of rising rim is nearly flat; sharp turn to round outer edge; slightly concave lower face. Four unevenly spaced grooves under lower handle attachment. Strap handle with central ridge.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular, hard fabric fired to dark gray, frequent tiny light and varied inclusions. Surface thinly slipped to very slight lighter gray. Some small, light inclusions visible on surface.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 20% of rim, one handle, and upper part of wall profile to lower handle join. Slight, sparse abrasion with very rare scratching; slightly worn breaks; rare specks of encrustation.
