Orangish red fabric but hard to discern through weathering. Fine but gritty; smooth break. At surface: common tiny to small, subrounded and subangular, mostly dark but also more rare, tiny white inclusions.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 80% of lid, including full profile. Soft and powdery surface, extensive erosion with pitting and severe flaking, consistent with marine submersion over a long period; worn breaks.
